SA Police to Trial AccuFind Law with 100 Frontline Officers

SA Police will begin a six-month trial of AccuFind Law in the coming weeks, with 100 frontline officers across regional and metropolitan locations using the platform to get instant legal and policy guidance on the beat. The trial was featured in The Advertiser under the headline "SA Police to arm frontline officers with powerful new AI legal guide".

Instant guidance, every statement cited

The trial centres on the AccuFind Law Virtual Assistant, an information retrieval engine that ingests millions of pages of SA Police General Orders, South Australian legislation, and referral information. Officers can describe the scenario in front of them and receive a step-by-step guide grounded in current law and policy, with every single statement citing back to the source material.

As AccuFind founder and CEO Hamish Cameron told The Advertiser: "An example would be: you're a police officer who pulled over a vehicle and you find out that it's a 12-year-old driving the car and they are in out-of-home care. AccuFind will tell you what to do in that situation, what the charges may be, and what the referral mechanisms are. It supports the worker; not replaces them or their thinking."
