Business requirements, derived directly from legislation
RequirementsDNA reads Australian legislation and produces traceable, BABOK-compliant business requirements (obligations, business rules, functional requirements, user stories, and use cases), with every artefact evidence-chained back to the exact section of the Act it came from.
Structured obligation extraction
Every obligation in the Act is extracted and typed by responsible actor, modality (must / may / must not), trigger, action, and target, then classified by provision type (obligation, prohibition, right, power, penalty, procedural, definition). No more reading thousands of pages to find who has to do what.
BABOK-compliant artefact suite
From each obligation the platform derives the full business-analysis stack: atomic business rules, functional and non-functional requirements, user stories with acceptance criteria, use cases, and DMN decision tables, generated consistently across the whole Act rather than hand-written one provision at a time.
End-to-end traceability
Every user story traces to its functional requirements, every requirement to its business rules, every rule to its source obligation, and every obligation to the exact words of the Act. A reviewer can follow any artefact all the way back to the legislative text in a single click, and auditors can verify it.
Actor & delegation modelling
The platform identifies every actor the legislation names (decision-makers, delegates, providers, recipients, external bodies) and maps the delegation chains between them. System boundaries get their own scoped requirement set: an internal case-management system and an external participant portal each receive the obligations that actually apply to them.
Reform & version comparison
When an Act is replaced or amended, RequirementsDNA compares the obligation sets across versions: what was retained, modified, added, or abolished, and which actors gained or lost responsibilities. For a legislative reform already in force, it produces the structured compliance baseline you verify your systems against.
Australian sovereign & auditable
All processing and storage runs in AWS Sydney (ap-southeast-2), IRAP PROTECTED aligned and Australian Privacy Principles compliant. Outputs are deterministic and evidence-backed, built for government contexts where systems must demonstrably comply with legislation.
RequirementsDNA was co-developed with ConceptSix, a specialist consultancy in business strategy and technology transformation. ConceptSix is the delivery partner for RequirementsDNA: they run the engagement with the client: framing business capability, facilitating stakeholder workshops and validation, and turning the platform's legislative analysis into actionable requirements and a program of work.
AccuFind brings the platform and the legislative-analysis engine; ConceptSix brings the delivery discipline, the client value-add, and the public-sector transformation experience. Every engagement runs as a partnership across both.

Built for
Teams that have to turn legislation into systems, programs, or compliance evidence
System replacement programs
Derive procurement-ready requirements for case-management and portal systems directly from the governing Act, with full traceability for assurance.
Compliance verification
Where a reform is already in force, verify whether existing systems meet what the new Act actually requires, against a structured, evidence-backed baseline.
Policy & legal teams
Quantify the shape of a legislative reform: obligations added, removed, and reshaped, and the actor responsibilities that shifted with them.
Business analysts
Replace months of manual requirements derivation with a structured artefact suite you refine and validate, instead of writing from a blank page.
How it works
From an Act to a validated, traceable requirements suite
Ingest the legislation
The Act is parsed into its real structure (chapters, parts, divisions, sections), with defined terms, cross-references, and actors resolved.
Extract obligations
Each obligation is extracted and typed, attributed to its actor, and scoped to the relevant system boundary.
Derive requirements
Business rules, functional and non-functional requirements, user stories, and use cases are generated per obligation, each evidence-chained to source.
Validate & report
Coverage, gaps, and conflicts are surfaced, with workshops to capture operational context that sits outside the legislation. Outputs ship as interactive reports and exportable artefacts.
